The Certificate Programme in Oil and Fat Industry will provide theoretical and practical knowledge to students to develop their skills about oils and fats, their supply chain, about the crops and extraction process of oil. Furthermore, they will experience difference between oils and fats and their functionality. They will gain a deeper understanding of the chemistry involved in fats and oils, oil storage, oil refining, oil modification, and nutritional aspects of oils and fats.
In order to enhance the knowledge in the area of Fats and Oil, FFSQ, IGMPI has designed this programme. This is undertaken through theoretical knowledge and practical skill as both are essential to master the field of Food industry.
The objective of this programme is to give knowledge about Oilseed processing, refining process, functionality of oils and fats, modification of fats and oils, Oil storage, handling and transport, and applications on Oleochemical. On completion of this programme student will be able to explain the crucial function of oils and fats in new product development, during its growth and development and diversification.
