Roland Foods tahini recall because of Salmonella contamination

Roland Foods LLC, headquartered in New York City, recalled specific production batches of Roland Tahini, comprising 100 per cent Ground Sesame Seeds in 16-ounce bottles, due to potential Salmonella contamination. The recall follows a routine sampling by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, which detected Salmonella in the product. Distribution has been halted, and an investigation, in collaboration with the manufacturer, is underway to determine the source of the issue.

The affected product was distributed across various states through retail stores and food service outlets between September 2023 and January 2024. Specifically, the recall pertains to Roland Tahini (100% Ground Sesame Seeds) 16 oz., Batch Number P024581, Production Code X0419, UPC Number 10041224701509, with a Best By Date of October 19, 2024. Consumers are advised to check for the UPC or Production Code and Best Buy Date on the label.
