Royal Philips presents an AI-enabled CT 5300 system equipped with advanced capabilities

Royal Philips, a leader in healthcare technology, launches the Philips CT 5300 system with advanced AI capabilities for diagnostics, interventions, and screenings. This system integrates AI throughout CT scanner operations, aiming to boost productivity and diagnostic accuracy in radiology departments facing high demand and staff shortages.

The flexible X-ray CT system enhances diagnostic confidence, workflow efficiency, and system uptime, improving patient outcomes and departmental productivity. Philips emphasizes a "CT first" strategy for triaging patients with undiagnosed coronary artery disease, aiming to reduce invasive procedures.

The CT 5300 system addresses challenges like increased patient caseloads and staff shortages through virtual collaboration tools. It introduces Nanopanel Precise, an AI-driven detector, that optimises image reconstruction and significantly reduces radiation dosage. Virtual tools like Philips CT Collaboration Live facilitate remote support, education, and training, promoting better patient and operator experiences amidst increasing demands and workforce challenges.
