Breakfast burritos recalled in Washington following testing finds Listeria

Jen’s Breakfast Burritos, LLC, in Auburn, WA, is recalling about 144 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) breakfast burrito products due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination, reported by the USDA FSIS. The issue surfaced after routine FSIS testing indicated possible contamination.

Concerns exist as some products may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers. The RTE breakfast burritos were produced on Feb. 29, 2024.

Recalled products:

  • 7-oz. wax paper packages labelled “Smoked Bacon Breakfast Burrito” with lot code 060-1.
  • 7-oz. wax paper packages labelled “Ham Breakfast Burrito” with lot code 060-2.
  • 7-oz. wax paper packages labelled “Seasoned Pork Breakfast Burrito” with lot code 060-3.

These products, bearing the establishment number “EST. 1826,” were distributed to “to-go” kiosks in Washington.

No adverse reactions have been reported, till date. Consumers are advised not to consume them but to discard or return them. If concerned about illness, seek medical advice.
