Aster MIMS Kozhikode collaborates with Qure.ai to implement an AI-powered stroke care solution

Aster MIMS Hospital in Kozhikode has partnered with Qure.ai, a provider of AI solutions for medical imaging, to enhance stroke care and diagnosis. This collaboration introduces an AI-powered Hub and Spoke model, expediting diagnosis and improving care coordination for stroke-suspected patients across spoke sites.

Qure.ai's qER suite processes CT scans in under three minutes, ensuring rapid assessment, crucial during suspected stroke cases. The Qure App ensures real-time patient's information communication and radiology images to multi-disciplinary teams at the hub site (Aster MIMS), streamlining interventions.

The Hub and Spoke model connects spoke hospitals to a central hub, optimizing healthcare infrastructure. Aster MIMS Calicut serves as the hub, linking with four spoke hospitals on the outskirts of Kozhikode. The network projects treating approximately 1500 stroke patients annually, inclusive of 600 from the connected spoke sites.

This partnership aims to revolutionize stroke care in resource-constrained settings, leveraging advanced medical imaging and fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals across the Hub and Spoke network.
