Trader Joe’s nuts recalled following testing finds Salmonella

Wenders LLC, based in Dublin, CA, is recalling specific production lots of Trader Joe's Nuts – 50% Less Sodium Roasted & Salted Whole Cashews due to potential Salmonella contamination. The issue was discovered following routine testing by the Food and Drug Administration during import, where the recalled lots tested positive for Salmonella.

The affected product was sold at Trader Joe’s stores in various states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Washington.

Identifiable by country of origin (India or Vietnam) and the “Lot No:” printed on the back panel, the product is Trader Joe's Nuts – 50% Less Sodium Roasted & Salted Whole Cashews (SKU Number – 37884). The recalled lots and their best-before dates are:

  • T12139: Feb 21, 2025
  • T12140: Mar 01, 2025
  • T12141: Mar 08, 2025
  • T12142: Mar 10, 2025

No illnesses have been reported. Consumers should not consume these products and can return them to the purchase place for a full refund.
