Mashed potatoes were recalled because of plastic in the product

Bob Evans Farms is recalling specific Bob Evans Original Mashed Potatoes due to potential foreign material, particularly red plastic, found in the product. As per details provided by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) online, the recall was initiated on March 4, 2024, and remains ongoing.

The recalled products were distributed in Connecticut, Illinois,  New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The affected product is Bob Evans Original Mashed Potatoes, available in 2 lbs (32 oz) packaging. They are packaged in black plastic trays with clear film and corrugated sleeve overwrap, with 6 units per case. The total number of recalled cases is 410.
