Enoki mushrooms recalled in Canada following testing finds Listeria

Goldenway International Trade Co. Ltd.’s Enoki Mushrooms are under recall due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. This recall was initiated following test results from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). The affected products were distributed primarily in Ontario and Quebec, with possible distribution in other provinces and territories across Canada.

Consumers are urged to check if they have the recalled product and refrain from consuming, serving, using, selling, or distributing it. Recalled items should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.

Listeria monocytogenes contamination may not be evident through visual or olfactory inspection of the food, yet it can lead to severe and potentially life-threatening infections. Individuals who have consumed the recalled product and experience symptoms of Listeria infection should seek medical attention, informing their healthcare providers about potential exposure to Listeria.
