California company recalls ice cream bars since tests findings are positive for Salmonella

Tropicale Foods, based in Modesto, CA, has issued a voluntary recall of 5,224 units of Helados Mexico Mini Cream Variety Pack with a "Best By" date of "MO Best By 10/11/2025" due to potential Salmonella contamination in the mango bars within the variety pack. The product was distributed at retail outlets across several states in the US and certain locations in Europe, as indicated in the company's recall notice released by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The best-by date can be found at the bottom of the retail box. As of the recall notice, there have been no confirmed illnesses reported. Testing of the mango bars revealed the potential presence of Salmonella, prompting the company to halt the distribution of the affected product. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the issue and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.

Consumers in possession of the affected product should discard it and refrain from consumption. For inquiries, consumers can reach out to the company at 909-563-3090.
