Trader Joe’s, Costco, and other shops are recalling products made with cheese associated with Listeria outbreak

Stores like Trader Joe’s and Costco started recalling products made with cheese and other products linked to a deadly Listeria outbreak.

Rizo Lopez Foods of Modesto, CA, produced the cheese and other products generating the problem. DNA typing detected that the company’s cheese is the cause of a decade-long Listeria outbreak that has sickened at least 26 people and killed two, as per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The Fresh Creative Foods products affected by the recall comprise certain creams, cilantro cotija dressing, everything sauces, poblano Caeser dressing, cilantro dressing, and a street taco meal kit.

The company registered the products have sold in their stores nationwide.
