The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is organizing a biostatistics workshop at the ICMR-National Institute of Research in Tribal Health (ICMR-NIRTH), Jabalpur. Limited to 25 participants, the three-day workshop from June 12 to 14, 2024, aims to enhance healthcare professionals' and researchers' capacity in analyzing health research data effectively.
It provides an interdisciplinary platform for faculties, residents, scientists, epidemiologists and demographers to discuss innovations and practical challenges. Attendees include Ph.D. research scholars and postgraduate students. Participants must confirm travel plans before booking tickets.
The workshop covers statistical methods and software tools essential for rigorous data analysis in epidemiology, clinical trials, and public health studies. Basic statistical understanding and interest in applying them to medical research are prerequisites.
ICMR, founded in 1911 under the Indian government's Department of Health Research, contributes to evidence-based policy formulation and healthcare planning. ICMR-NIRTH focuses on improving tribal populations' health through collaborative research, addressing various health issues tailored to their unique needs.
