Wiers Farm Inc. of Willard, OH, is expanding its July 12, 2024, recall to include more produce due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) and Michigan Department of Agriculture (MDARD) are investigating this issue. The affected produce was packed between July 5-12, 2024.

The recalled items were distributed across 17 states, including Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia, and sold at various retailers.

Listeria contamination may not affect the appearance or smell of food but can cause serious infections. Consumers experiencing symptoms should seek medical attention and inform their doctor of possible exposure.
